At Animal’s Care Association Rajpura (“the Association,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we deeply value the support and generosity of our donors and community members. As a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation of animals, we rely on contributions to fund our life-saving missions.
This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be processed to ensure transparency and legal compliance.
1. Donations (One-Time and Recurring)
All donations made to the Animal’s Care Association via our website (animalscareassociation.org) or integrated payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay) are considered voluntary gifts.
- Non-Refundable Nature: In accordance with standard non-profit practices, donations are generally non-refundable. Once a donation is processed, the funds are immediately allocated to our animal welfare programs, including medical treatment, nourishment, and shelter maintenance.
- Exception for Technical Errors: If a duplicate transaction occurs or an incorrect amount is entered due to a technical error on the website or payment gateway, we will honor a refund request.
- Request Timeline: Refund requests for technical errors must be submitted within 7 (seven) days of the transaction date.
- Tax Benefit Clarification: As stated in our Terms & Conditions, donations currently do not qualify for tax deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Requests for refunds based on the unavailability of tax-exempt receipts will not be entertained, as this status is clearly disclosed prior to donation.
2. Merchandise and Products
While our primary focus is animal care, any physical goods or merchandise purchased through our platform are subject to the following:
- Damaged or Defective Goods: If you receive a product that is damaged or defective, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will provide a replacement or a full refund.
- Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for “change of mind” on merchandise once the order has been shipped, given that proceeds are directed toward charitable causes.
3. Cancellation Policy
- Recurring Donations: If you have set up a recurring donation (subscription), you may cancel it at any time. Cancellations will stop all future charges but will not result in a refund of previously processed donations.
- Events or Workshops: If the Association organizes paid events or workshops, cancellations made 72 hours prior to the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event are non-refundable.
4. Refund Process
To request a refund, you must follow the formal procedure:
- Contact Us: Email contact@animalscareassociation.org with the subject line “Refund Request – [Your Transaction ID]”.
- Required Information: You must provide your full name, contact number, date of transaction, amount, and a clear reason for the refund (e.g., duplicate charge).
- Verification: Our finance team will verify the transaction within 5-7 business days.
- Approval & Settlement: If approved, the refund will be credited back to the original payment method (Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Net Banking) used during the transaction. Please note that it may take 7-10 business days for the amount to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing times.
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage donors to contact us directly to resolve any payment issues. Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes initiated through banks without prior communication with the Association will be contested based on this policy and our Terms & Conditions.
6. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or other applicable Indian laws.
